The company has grown steadily to encompass all facets of the construction industry which means that we are able to provide any services needed within the industry.

The company originated in plumbing we have been certified in many aspects of plumbing.

Our team of renewable energy consultants are able to guide and construct exactly which renewable source, the size of the source and the benefits they will bring.

With personnel having over 10 years of renewable expertise and being an Anglo-German Ambassador, we are well equipped in the field.

ABOUT

Roland Hill Limited is a family run business that was set up in 1951. After Roland himself completed his apprenticeship as a plumber and spending two years in the army, he finally decided he wanted to set up his own business. Therefore, in October 1951 he set off with his bike and tools and away he went, he started off as a one man business in Plumbland Cumbria. His general jobs consisted of plumbing, painting, milking and general help.

In 1953 Roland bought his first property in the area known as ‘The Forge’, with this also being the last working place for a blacksmith in the area. With this in mind he decided to hire a blacksmith and continue shoeing horses. Then later on in 1953 Roland decided it was no longer suitable to use his bike for his daily journeys to work and therefore came to the conclusion of buying his first work van... a Ford 8 1932 addition. 18 years later in 1971, Roland Hill became a limited company.

Still to this day Roland Hill Ltd is an award-winning family run business with the 4th generation now working within the business to maintain the same level of excellent quality service it has been providing for the last 70 years. The business over time has naturally expanded and now offers services from construction to renewable energies and everything in between; throughout this time, we have worked with many great clients and architects from concept to completion.

Our main goal is continuing to provide the high-quality standard and workmanship that we as a family business pride ourselves in.

We pride ourselves on quality and being a family run business for over 70 years, Roland Hill Ltd started out with Roland and his bike attending to plumbing needs; the business grew taking on steelworks, building works and joinery works and Roland’s 3 children joined the business alongside other family members. Roland Hill Ltd expanded further when Chris Hill (Roland’s son) became Managing Director and steered the business into roofing works, electrical works, renewable energies, modular builds, demolition works and decorating. Now, with the 4th generation working within the family business to maintain the same quality it began with.
